Shine and Shadow, LLC, was co-founded in 2022 and is co-owned by two queer Michigan-based licensed mental health therapists rooted in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor community, located on the traditional land of the Anishinaabe people, including the Ottawa, Ojibwe, and Potowatomi, as well as Wyandot. 

 

Both therapists operate within decolonial, anti-oppressive, intersectional feminist and abolitionist frameworks that centers healing justice and collective liberation for the marginalized and disenfranchised on Turtle Island. (Visit our FAQs page to learn more about these terms).

 

The mission of Shine and Shadow, LLC, is to embark on a revolutionary healing journey towards liberation from intergenerational, ancestral, collective and individual traumas from historical and modern contexts of oppressive systems. Their vision is to collectively restore our divinity and repair our humanity within our own minds and bodies, within our families and local communities, and amongst greater society.
